JOB DESCRIPTION: CASUAL Beauty Therapist

WHATS REQUIRED OF YOU

  • Perform all Brow Treatments including shaping, waxing, tinting, dying and tweezing.

  • Lash Lifts

  • Facial Waxing

  • Assist Senior Brow Artists

  • Prep Treatment and provide high-quality client care

  • Capturing before/after photos of your work for socials

  • Appointment bookings, answering phones

  • Cleaning of the salon

  • Maintaining a clean and organised work space

  • Open/Close Salon when required

  • Cash Up

CASUAL SALON/SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANT

We are looking for a bubbly, creative and motivated Salon & Social Media Assistant to join our growing team at Avonia. This role is perfect for someone who loves beauty, thrives in a salon environment and has a natural eye for content creation.

This is a hybrid position combining salon support with content creation. You’ll assist our team with day-to-day salon duties while helping create engaging, on-brand social media content that showcases our services, results and client experience. As well as showcasing behind the scenes, day in the life and keeping up with the social media trends. Thinking outside the box and creating new and unique content is essential.

JOB DESCRIPTION: CASUAL Salon & Social Media Assistant

WHATS REQUIRED OF YOU:

Salon Assistant Duties

  • Greeting clients and providing a welcoming, polished experience

  • Assisting beauty therapists with set-up and pack-down of treatments

  • Sanitising tools, maintaining hygiene standards and general salon cleanliness

  • Managing stock, retail area presentation and salon organisation

  • Preparing clients treatments and helping with check-in/check-out procedures

  • Assisting with small admin tasks (bookings, phone calls and replies)

  • Supporting the team during busy periods

Social Media & Content Duties

  • Filming behind-the-scenes content, service videos, before/after transformations

  • Creating stories, TikTok’s, Reels and editing short-form content

  • Capturing aesthetically pleasing photos for feed and stories

  • Helping plan content ideas, trends and upcoming campaign themes

  • Posting or scheduling content based on salon guidelines

  • Assisting with engagement (replying to comments/Dms where needed)

  • Keeping our brand tone, visuals and message consistent

  • Thinking outside the box and creating unique visuals and content
